Antigua is the city with the best restaurants and the largest choice of different cuisines in the whole of Guatemala. This is probably because the city is quite touristy. As a result, some restaurants are a bit on the pricey side compared to other cities in Guatemala, but you get very good food in return. Yet you can eat here for a nice price, if you know how to find the right restaurants. Below you will find our 8 favorite restaurants in Antigua.
1. San Martin Antigua Guatemala
A wonderful place for a late breakfast, lunch or dinner. Here you can eat pasta, salads, sandwiches and much more. There is also a bakery here with delicious fresh bread, cookies and other delicacies. The restaurant is located in a large, pleasant courtyard, so it is not only tasty here but also very cozy.

2. Patio de la Primera
You can have a delicious breakfast or lunch here with fresh butter croissants and good coffee. The restaurant is located in a cozy courtyard together with another restaurant, Toko Baru. This restaurant is a bit more pricey than most of the other restaurants on the list.
3. La Pasta Nostra
At La Pasta Nostra you can of course eat delicious pasta, but also sandwiches and pizza for a nice price. The restaurant is not large but cozy. And if you're lucky, the house cat will come and visit you.

5. Welten Restaurant Antigua Guatemala
Would you like to try some local dishes? You can do that at Welten Restaurant. The restaurant is quite chic and that is reflected in the price. Still, it's fun to experience once.
